Nav and Sujal did their 12th standard at St. Paul's Matric Hr Sec School in Vaniyambadi in 2021. Five years later, on a Saturday morning in March 2026, they walked back into the same building. This time, not as students. As teachers.
The workshop was free. Zero budget. The school gave us a room, a projector, and the teachers who showed up on a weekend because they were curious. We covered three tools: Gemini for lesson planning, Claude for worksheets, and Nano Banana for visual aids. Two hours. Tamil and English. The kind of session we wish someone had run for us.
The maths teacher told us, halfway through, that she spent roughly six hours every week making differentiated worksheets — the same problem in three versions for strong, average, and weak students. We asked her to try Claude. Nine minutes later, she had three versions, in Tamil, at three reading levels. She looked at the printout for a long time. Then she looked up.
“You just gave me my Saturdays back.”

Claude + Perplexity for research with citations. Gemini for timelines, maps, and source-comparison exercises. We show teachers how to make students cite real sources, not hallucinated ones.
We learned AI in a small town. We owe it back.
Vaniyambadi is a town of roughly 100,000 people in Tamil Nadu. We learned AI here — not in a Bangalore co-working space, not at an IIT, not through a “growth hacker” course that costs ₹2 lakhs.
We had a roof (upstairs from the family jewellery shop). We had laptops. We had time, because there was nothing else to do. And we had Claude, Nano Banana, and Veo, which are not location-specific.
