In short. 2BFT Studio is two brothers, Nav and Sujal, working above our family jewellery shop in Vaniyambadi, Tirupattur district. Clients in Bengaluru, Pune and our own district send a brief and files online. We make the film on our own PC and deliver it to their Drive. In Chennai, we ran a hackathon finale at Zoho.
Who we have made things for
Our first clients were close to home. Maruthi Jewellers is our family shop, downstairs. Local To Loud is a digital media agency in our own town.
Then the work started coming from further away. One More Take is a shoot and edit agency in Bengaluru. Sunil Kumar (@saysorrysunil) is a stand-up comic whose sets we animate. A video editor sent us two reels for a fertility clinic's doctors. An agency partner sent us a reel for a phone-repair training course in Pune.
Before the Studio, we taught. We ran the Vibe Coding Hackathon finale at Zoho's office in Chennai on 21 June 2026. We ran an AI skills workshop with EDII Tamil Nadu. We taught the teachers at our old school, St. Paul's in Vaniyambadi. Those were in person. We no longer run workshops. Today the Studio makes films.

How the work happens without leaving town
A brief arrives by email or Instagram DM. It is usually short. A photo, a voice note, an offer and its dates.
Large files come as a Google Drive link. The doctor reels came as raw footage, an Instagram reference reel and a colour card for each doctor.
We reply in text. We confirm what we heard, and we ask for anything missing. We do not take phone calls, and we do not visit.
The webcam is the only camera pointed at us. We use it to teach the 2BFT Lab live, not for client meetings.
Everything renders on one PC in Vaniyambadi. The pictures are drawn in code with Claude. Tamil and Hindi voices come from Sarvam, or from an offline clone of Nav's own voice. A 4K reel takes about twelve minutes to render.
The finished film goes into a Drive folder shared with the client. Previews carry a 2BFT Studio watermark. The clean master follows when the job closes.
What we make for clients
Ads from one photo and a voice note. The Maruthi Jewellers Diwali ad started this way. The client sends one product photo and talks for a minute about the offer. We write the script and draw the film.
Talking 3D hosts. For One More Take, we turned the owner's photo into a 3D character. His mouth moves in sync with the voice. He speaks English, Hindi and Kannada.
Launch films. For One More Take's second Diwali offer, we built a 35-second film in the style of a software launch. A phone, cards on a grid, a click and a logo. No voice, only sound effects, as the client asked.
Animated stand-up. We take Sunil Kumar's real set, his real voice and the real audience laugh. We redraw the bit as a cartoon or an anime. Each short ends on a few seconds of the real Sunil on stage. One of them reached 2.5 million views in a week, as of 7 November 2026.
Edited reels with Tamil subtitles. For the fertility clinic, the brief said soothing, soft music, no heavy effects. We cut the doctors' clips with B-roll and set every line in Tamil, checked word by word.
Websites. We designed and built localtoloud.in. Its footer says "Designed by 2bft.in".
What we learned from client revisions
Study the reference first. Our first doctor reel ignored the reference reel. The client pointed at it. The doctor's clip said the same words as the reference, so the reference was the template.
Make text big. The client wanted big, readable lines. Tiny second lines in English got cut. An emoji beside each point helped people read on a phone.
Drop shadows hurt. The client asked if there was a shadow on the letters. A hard shadow makes a ghost copy of every letter. Now subtitles sit on a solid box instead.
Check every spoken line. One English text-to-speech line came out sounding like a rude word. Now we run every voice line back through speech-to-text before anyone hears it.
Confirm the dates twice. One More Take's offer dates changed after the first renders. We keep the dates and prices in one file, so a change rebuilds every version at once.
Keep faces clear. On the Pune reel, a face detector checks every tenth of a second. No caption or card is allowed to touch the speaker's face.
Show a look before making it. Our first Maruthi Jewellers ad looked grey and cold. A festive ad needs warm light and gold. Now we show style frames before we produce anything.
Why a small town works
The work is files and code. A file from Bengaluru reaches Vaniyambadi as fast as it reaches Koramangala.
Our costs are low. We pay no city rent. The studio is the room above the shop.
We know small businesses. We grew up behind a jewellery counter. A shop owner's brief makes sense to us without a meeting.
We think in three languages. Tamil at home, Hindi in the family, English online. One script becomes three films.
The time we save on travel goes into the films. Every hour we have goes into the work itself.
Want a film, or want to make your own?
The Studio sells one thing today: a film made for you. It is 30 seconds long, made from one photo and one voice note, in Tamil, Hindi or English. It costs ₹14,999 and arrives in 7 days with one revision.
Send the photo and the voice note to 2boysfromtown@gmail.com, or by Instagram DM to @_navaratan_.
If you would rather learn to make films like these yourself, join the 2BFT Lab. We build a new film on camera every Monday and go live every Sunday.
