Vaniyambadi. A small town with a big lab.
Vaniyambadi is a town of about 1 lakh people in Tirupattur district, Tamil Nadu. Three hours from Chennai, an hour from Vellore, twenty minutes from the Karnataka border. Famous for biryani and the leather trade in nearby Ambur. Not, until now, for shipping AI workflows from a tier-3 town.
Our lab is the floor above Maruthi Jewellers  our family jewellery shop, two generations old. Downstairs: gold. Upstairs: agents. The same building has been the family's for decades. We just added a couple of monitors, a soldering iron, and a lot of failed prototypes.
SN Bags  our B2B manufacturing arm, 12+ years in the bag business  runs from the same region. It's the reason Stashed exists: we had the manufacturing relationships before we had the AI skills.

Indian-language model testing
Part of the India AI ecosystem. We work with Zoho Community (Zoho is in Chennai) and we test models relevant to Indian languages and small-town Indian use cases  Tamil, Hindi, Hinglish.
Tamil Nadu is home to Zoho Corporation(Chennai)  one of India's largest AI ecosystems.
We've worked with them. We test models for Indian-language use cases. India ranks 3rd globally in AI capability (up from 7th in 2025), with 3,100+ AI startups, the IndiaAI Mission (₹10,372 Cr), and homegrown foundation models like Zoho's Zia LLM shipping into production. 2BFT is part of that story  we ship from a tier-3 town, with a small-town bias for the people the big-city ecosystem forgets.

Jio happened here. Cheap 4G rolled out across Tamil Nadu before most of the world had it on a metro rail. Every kid in Vaniyambadi with a ₹6,000 phone has the same internet as a kid in Koramangala. The bandwidth lottery has already been settled.
UPI made the cash problem boring. A tier-3 town in Tamil Nadu can take UPI at a roadside stall. There is no longer a "developed market" barrier. The customer is online, paying digitally, and reachable on WhatsApp. That was the hard part  and India solved it.
D2C platforms matured in TN. Shiprocket, Razorpay, Shopify India  all the building blocks a small business needs to ship direct to customers are now boring, cheap, and Tamil-Nadu-friendly. Stashed sells from Vaniyambadi to all of India for the same logistics cost as a Bangalore brand.
Tier-3 is the advantage, not the apology. Our burn is lower. Our focus is sharper. Our founders answer customer DMs at 11pm. A Bangalore team can't outwork a Vaniyambadi team that ships from a jewellery shop.

Vaniyambadi is a small town (~1L population) famous for its biryani, the leather industry in nearby Ambur, and now, hopefully, for shipping AI workflows from a jewellery shop's upper floor. We are the only team we know of that has built a D2C bag brand and a multi-cohort AI academy from Vaniyambadi. We're not aware of another AI company operating from this exact pincode.
